In January 2022, all analog office phones were replaced with digital, Voice-over-IP (VoIP) phones (some phones were previously replaced with digital phones, these are not being replaced again).

If you have a question or trouble with your office phone, please be sure to include your phone’s extension when contacting the OIT Help Desk.

Accessing Voicemail

Press the voicemail button (differs depending on model of phone). Alternately: call your extension (if off campus, dial 802 + 626 or 635 + extension), let it pick up, and immediately press *

Enter your voicemail passcode (default: 1111, unless you’ve changed it to something else). If you have trouble entering a passcode, please submit a work order at https://helpdesk.vsc.edu and include your extension when requesting assistance

7 to play a message
3 to discard a message

Follow Accessing Voicemail, above (including enter in a passcode)

Press 8 to enter user options

Press 7 to set a new passcode (4-7 digits)

Press 8 to enter user options

Press 4 to record a greeting

Press 7 to review your recorded greeting

Press 9 to save it Press 3 discard it and record again

Press 8 to enter user options

Press 6 to record your name

Press 7 to review your recorded name

Press 9 to save it Press 3 discard it and record again
